Black Stars winger, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku re-announced his return to the English Championship after scoring a stunning solo goal for Leicester City against Charlton Athletic.

In a team struggling for victories on the road, Abdul Fatawu’s sensational strike was the sole goal in a victory that ended a streak of nine winless away games for Leicester City.

Leicester’s 1-0 victory against Charlton Athletic on Saturday, August 23, 2025, return the Foxes back to winning ways after losing 2-1 to Preston on matchday 2 at the Deepdale stadium.

The Foxes are looking to make a return to the Premier League as soon as possible and this victory will help quench the noise around the club.

Abdul Fatawu Issahaku was rated 7.6 in the game for his performance but the Man of the Match award went to his goalkeeper, Jakub Stolarczyk who had a rating of 8.5.

Issahaku’s compatriot, Jordan Ayew also played the entire duration of the game but was rated 6.3.
