Black Stars winger, Fatawu Issahaku scored a brilliant goal in Leicester City’s 4-3 defeat to Southampton in the English Championship.

The in-form winger scored in the 29th minute after receiving the ball on the right wing, cutting inside, and curling a powerful shot past goalkeeper Peretz.

This adds to the top-quality goals Issahaku has been scoring recently, as he continues to play a key role in Leicester’s quest to return to the Premier League.

Issahaku was replaced by Silko Thomas in the 85th minute while his team was still leading in the game.

The visitors eventually sealed the victory with Shea Charles’ stoppage-time strike in the 96th minute, sinking the Foxes to a 4-3 defeat in dramatic fashion.

Leicester City are underperforming in the Championship, currently sitting 21st on the league table and struggling to replicate their past successes.

Despite the team’s struggles, Issahaku remains a standout performer as the 2026 World Cup approaches.

In the 2025/2026 season, he has made 32 appearances, scored eight goals, and provided seven assists.
