Former Hearts of Oak and Black Stars striker, Prince Tagoe, has extended a helping hand to the residents of Madina, donating food items and other essential supplies to support families in need.

Known for his philanthropic work, this gesture is part of his commitment to giving back to the community that shaped his early years.

In a video shared on his Instagram page, Tagoe is seen handing items to the imam of the Madina mosque, who reciprocated the kind gesture by praying for him.

Some of the items donated included packs of water, drinks, and a sound console. Representatives of the community also expressed their gratitude for his generosity.

Tagoe was part of the Hearts of Oak team that defeated rivals Asante Kotoko in Kumasi on January 9, 2004, to claim the first-ever CAF Confederation Cup.

The game, which ended 1-1, was decided by a dramatic penalty shootout that Hearts of Oak won 9-8.

Tagoe’s exceptional form in 2004 propelled him to opportunities in Europe, where he played for clubs in Germany, Serbia, and Turkey.

Now retired at 38, he boasts an impressive record of 36 appearances for the Black Stars, including appearances at the 2006 and 2010 World Cups.
