Image of hearse’s carrying the mortal remains of Broadway

The mortal remains of veteran colts football administrator Thompson, affectionately known as Broadway, was taken to the famous Indafa Park at Mamprobi one final time before his burial.

In a video shared by sports journalist Godfred Akoto Boafo, Broadway’s remains were taken across the length and breadth of the park where he nurtured and unearthed many talents for Ghanaian football.

“The remains of Thompson, aka Broadway, founder of the famous Ken Harrison Babies Colts team at Mamprobi, were brought to his beloved Indafa Park for one ‘last kick’ today. Back in the day, every proper Accra player came from that team,” Godfred Akoto Boafo wrote.

Broadway was the founder of the renowned Ken Harrison Babies, a colts team that has existed since the 1990s.

Broadway played an integral role in the development of Colts football, earning an esteemed reputation among the players and coaches he worked with.

Meanwhile, Indafa Park, formerly known as Hearts Park, is regarded as a breeding ground for the football superstars it has produced over the years.

The venue served as the home ground for many Colts teams, which later formed a league called the Indafa League.
