Jeremie Frimpong is a player of The Netherlands

Bayer Leverkusen and The Netherlands wing-back, Jeremie Frimpong, has been adding a touch of Ghanaian flair to the Netherlands camp.

The defender, who has Ghanaian roots but represents The Netherlands, has been in incredible form, earning him a call-up as the 2010 World Cup runners-up chase their first UEFA Nations League trophy.

In a video shared by The Netherlands national team, Frimpong was seen welcoming his teammates to the camp while using some Ghanaian slang.

He exchanged pleasantries with his captain, Virgil van Dijk, as well as Liverpool’s Ryan Gravenberch and Cody Gakpo.

The 24-year-old has played three times for The Netherlands in the Nations League but has yet to contribute to a goal. However, he hopes to make a meaningful contribution to the team’s success.

The Netherlands have won just once in their last five games and face a tough test against European champions Spain in the quarterfinals.

The first leg is scheduled for Thursday, March 20, 2025, in Rotterdam, with the return leg taking place three days later in Valencia.
