Some youth in the Salaga South Constituency in the Savannah Region have staged a protest against their Member of Parliament (MP), Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, accusing her of failing to develop the area since assuming office.

The protest, captured in a video, shows the irate youth, clad in red headbands, setting fire to billboards featuring the MP and President John Dramani Mahama.

A post accompanying the video reads, “Some youth in the Salaga South Constituency have demonstrated against their Member of Parliament, Hon. Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, by setting fire to campaign billboards featuring her image alongside that of President John Mahama, as well as burning donated chairs. They claim that the MP has failed to develop the constituency since she assumed office.”
