Scores of individuals have gathered to observe the ‘one-week remembrance ceremony’ of the late musician, Dada KD.

The solemn event, held on June 21, 2025, at the East Legon Executive Fitness Club, brought together family, fans, industry colleagues, and sympathizers who trooped in to pay their respects and support the bereaved family as preparations begin for the final funeral rites.

In an exclusive video by GhanaWeb, emotional scenes from the gathering showed mourners grieving deeply.

One unidentified woman, overcome with emotion, was seen crying uncontrollably while others tried to comfort her, a moment that has touched many online.

Dada KD passed away in the late hours of Friday, May 16, 2025, after a brief illness.

His death sent extended shock throughout the entertainment community and beyond, prompting the likes of Empress Gifty, Nana Romeo, Ayisha Modi, Broda Sammy, and others to share their condolences.

Before his passing, Dada KD made a huge mark on Ghana’s music scene, known for timeless highlife hits like “Fatia Fata Nkrumah” and “Somu Gye,” which became household anthems.
