Accra Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare was given a guard of honor by his teammates following his return from the Black Stars camp after helping secure qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

During the club’s training session at Pobiman, the players and technical staff lined up in their blue and yellow jerseys to celebrate the moment.

Head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani gave a brief remark to explain the motive behind the gesture.

“We want to acknowledge and recognise your contribution toward Ghana’s qualification for the 2026 World Cup,” he said.

Afterward, Asare and Black Stars equipment officer Abdul Rahman Alhassan walked through the middle of the squad as players and staff applauded them.
