Aminu Mohammed playing in the U-17 World Cup in 2017

Former Ghana U-17 player Mohammed Aminu, who has been out of the spotlight for some time, has made a rare public appearance—this time at a barbershop. Aminu was seen flaunting his new hairstyle and tattoos.

Aminu was part of the Ghana U-17 team that reached the quarterfinals of the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup in India. He rose to prominence with his exceptional potential, prompting Manchester City to spend $2 million to acquire the then-teen star from Ghana Premier League side WAFA.

Now 24 years old, Aminu’s career trajectory has been turbulent. He was expelled from Dutch side NAC Breda during a loan spell and was deemed surplus to requirements at Belgian second-tier club Lommel SK.

After multiple loan spells and struggles to fulfill his early promise, Manchester City released him in 2022, five years after signing him. Aminu played three matches for Ghana during the 2017 U-17 World Cup.

His last club was Kozanis, a lower-division side in Greece, which he joined as a free agent after parting ways with Manchester City.
