Social media was left abuzz after a video showing members of Reign House Chapel presenting a cash gift to their head pastor, Prophet Eric Boahen, went viral.

The birthday celebration, which took place on November 29, 2025, saw various personalities, including Prophet Kumchacha, Apostle Owusu Bempah, and actress Gloria Sarfo, as well as church members, throng the church premises to celebrate the pastor, which also fell on the 5th day of the ‘Imperium Gathering’ event.

A highlight of the celebrations was when an astonishing birthday gift was presented by church members.

A glass box was unveiled, showing two bundles of 100-dollar bills on a stand and surrounded by dozens of gold coins as a gift to Prophet Boahen.

The cash amount was claimed to be $20,000.

The viral video of the presentation was met with mixed reactions on social media.

While some users expressed their admiration at the gift and paid their well-wishes to the prophet, others questioned the motive behind the gift and suggested the amount be used for more charitable purposes.

“It’s so sad that they will present this to a pastor and tell their family members they are broke,” one user commented.

“Herh, like for real? This one for go into donation for some orphanage homes and some homeless people,” another posted.

One other user added, “Eiii now church turn business ooo.”
