The Black Maidens players could not hold back their excitement after beating Nigeria on penalties to win the WAFU B U17 Girls Cup.

After the team beat Nigeria to annex the trophy, the DJ on the day played the popular ‘One Corner’ song by Patapaa and the ecstatic Ghanaian players responded with some crazy dance moves.

The players who were draped in the Ghanaian flag were jumping and throwing their legs around as they tried to dance to the beat.

In the game, Ghana took an early lead, with Gertrude Amoafo finding the back of the net in the 14th minute.

The Black Maidens extended their advantage just five minutes later when Priscilla Mensah doubled the tally.

However, Nigeria’s Flamingos demonstrated resilience, clawing their way back into the contest. Their determined fightback resulted in two crucial goals, leveling the score at 2-2 and setting the stage for an intense penalty shootout.

Under immense pressure, Ghana’s Black Maidens held their nerve, showcasing composure and precision to secure a 5-4 victory in the shootout.
