A video circulating on social media has captured Akosua Serwaa, one of the surviving wives of the late Highlife icon, dancing to her late husband’s songs.
In the footage shared on X on January 13, 2026, Akosua Serwaa Fosu, who is currently in the country to organise a separate burial ceremony scheduled for March, after her husband was laid to rest on December 13, 2025, was seen jamming to one of the late Lumba’s classics released in 1994.
In the video, Akosua Serwaa, who was initially singing along to the song “Opono Hini Me,” was later seen shedding uncontrollable tears as she became overwhelmed by the lyrics.

About a minute into the video, she was seen being consoled by a close friend, Georgina Osei Bonsu.
The video has sparked reactions on X, with netizens expressing diverse opinions.
One social media user commented, “All those disrespecting this woman, may God forgive you. Someone who even paid for some of their properties, used her documents to help Lumba in Germany, and helped the Lumba brothers release their first album, you people are insulting her? Karma is real.”
