The Black Stars have arrived in Accra after their draw against Chad in the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
In a viral video on social media sighted by GhanaWeb Sports, the team arrived at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra around 5 pm on the evening of Thursday, September 4, 2025.
Ghana after taking an early goal lead in the game were held to a 1-1 draw in 97 minutes of football at the Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno in N’Djamena.
Jordan Ayew got his 6th goal in the qualifiers after connecting Kudus Mohammed’s pass into an empty net in the 17th minute of the game on Thursday, September 4, 2025.
However, with just a minute left to end the game in regulation time, Celestine Ecua got the equalizer for the home team after his shot deflected into the Ghana net.
Otto Addo admits Black Stars’ performance against Chad fell short
The team will now prepare for their home game against the Eagles of Mali on matchday 8 of the ongoing FIFA World Cup qualifiers on Monday, September 8, 2025, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Ghana will be hoping to get the double over Mali in the qualifiers after beating them 2-1 in Bamako in 2024.
