Floyd Mayweather stylist JBC#1 Mikyo Watarai (9-1, 6 KOs; amateur 77-15), 139.75, won the Japanese super light belt as he swept the first four rounds with ease and dropped national champ Eikichi Kawamura, 140, on the deck with a smashing left-right combo to prompt the referee’s quick intervention at 1:11 of the fifth round on Saturday in Tokyo, Japan. Kawamura, a peek-a-boo stylist, impaired to 7-2, 4 KOs. Circling to-and-fro, the shifty Mikyo outlegged the awkward champ and had him bleeding badly with his sharp shots penetrating his tight guard.
Promoter: Teiken Promotions.
