‘King’ Callum Walsh, (12-0, 10 KOs), of Cork, Ireland and ‘Deadly’ Dean Sutherland, (19-1, 7 KOs), of Aberdeen, Scotland were welcomed by a very large gathering of New York City media for their Launch Press Conference in Mid-Town Manhattan on Tuesday afternoon. Walsh will defend his WBC Continental Americas super welterweight title for the third time on Sunday, March 16, 2025 in the 10-round main event at The Theater at Madison Square Garden and broadcast globally on UFC Fightpass.
Callum Walsh: “The only way you’re going to headline a show like this is if you’re fighting and both of us are going to put on a show for the fans. His style is very aggressive and my style is very aggressive and we will meet in the middle of the ring.”
Dean Sullivan: “This will be my first time fighting in the United States and it’s in a great matchup in an amazing venue. I know that there will be a huge crowd of Irish boxing fans on March 16 but I’m coming to win, take the title home and keep my winning streak alive.”
