Elorm Beenie says vinyls are lucrative than streaming platforms Elorm Beenie says vinyls are lucrative than streaming platforms

Media personality and music executive Elorm Beenie has stated that vinyl records are now generating more income for musicians than some streaming platforms.

Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM on June 26, 2025, Elorm joined a conversation about physical music sales and advised artistes to consider producing vinyl instead of CDs.

According to him, vinyl is currently more valuable because people are willing to pay more for it, and it lasts longer than CDs.

“Vinyls are now making more money than even some of the streaming platforms. Vinyls because they are more like classics and in terms of durability, they have more lifespan than CDs,” he stated.

Elorm Beenie explained that there is a growing market for vinyl records and that many music lovers are going back to buying them. For that reason, he believes vinyl should be the preferred physical format for artistes looking to expand their sales.

“A lot more people are moving to vinyl sales or the purchase of vinyls now than CDs. So, if there’s anything that we would want to look into I would rather push for the sale or the purchase of vinyls instead of CDs,” he added.
