Real Madrid forward, Vinicius Junior has publicly apologized for his behaviour during Real Madrid’s 2-1 El Clasico victory over Barcelona on Sunday, October 26, 2025, after reacting angrily to being substituted late in the match at the Santiago Bernabéu.

The Brazilian, who was withdrawn with 15 minutes remaining, appeared visibly frustrated as he made his way off the pitch at the Santiago Bernabéu.

His outburst quickly drew attention from fans and media alike, with many questioning the display of emotion during such a crucial La Liga fixture.

Three days later, Vinicius has addressed the incident directly, taking full responsibility for his reaction and expressing remorse toward the club and its supporters.

Posting on social media, he wrote: “Today I want to apologize to all the Madridistas for my reaction when I was substituted in the Clasico. Just as I have already done in person during today’s training, I also want to apologize again to my teammates, the club, and the president.”

“Sometimes passion gets the better of me because I always want to win and help my team. My competitive character stems from the love I feel for this club and everything it represents. I promise to keep fighting every second for the good of Real Madrid, as I have done since the first day.”

His words reflect a clear effort to draw a line under the incident and reaffirm his commitment to the team’s ambitions.

Known for his fiery passion and relentless drive, Vinicius’ apology struck a tone, acknowledging the emotional intensity that sometimes comes with representing Real Madrid at the highest level.

The 25-year-old remains one of Los Blancos’ most vital attacking outlets this season, and his pledge to “keep fighting every second” will come as reassurance to fans who have long admired his dedication and energy on the pitch.

With the apology issued and accepted internally, Vinicius now turns his focus back to helping Real Madrid in their pursuit of the La Liga title.
