    The one-week observation of the late Ghanaian highlife legend, Dada KD, was held today, Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the Executive Fitness Club in East Legon.

    The event turned into an emotional outpouring of love and grief for a man whose music touched countless lives.

    The ceremony had people from his family, devoted fans, fellow musicians and entertainment industry stakeholders weeping bitterly.

    The event also saw several notable personalities from the music scene showing up to pay their respects.

    The likes of legendary highlife artists like Kojo Antwi, Kaakyire Kwame Appiah, and Dada Bosco were present to stand with the bereaved family and celebrate the life of their departed colleague.

    The family also took the opportunity to announce the final funeral rites for the late musician, which they have scheduled for Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the State House in Accra.

    Dada KD, born as one of the country’s cherished musical voices, passed away in the late hours of Friday, May 16, 2025, after a brief illness.

    His sudden departure sent shockwaves across the entertainment world, with tributes pouring in from notable figures.

    Known for timeless hits like “Fatia Fata Nkrumah” and “Somu Gye,” Dada KD’s music transcended generations and genres, earning him admiration and reverence across the country and beyond.
