Mawuli Peter Ekpe, popularly known in the entertainment circles as Abro, has stirred controversy once again with his latest remarks about the popular UTV entertainment program, United Showbiz.

According to the outspoken movie producer, actor, and Public Relations Officer for the Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG), the pundits on the show harbor a deep-seated dislike for dancehall musician Shatta Wale.

Speaking on The Dice Show aired on Sean City TV whichis hosted by media personality Ruthy, Abro did not mince words in stating his views.

He claimed that the frequent criticism and the tone of discussions surrounding Shatta Wale anytime his name pops up on United Showbiz are clear indications of bias and hate from the show’s panelists.

“Anytime an issue concerning Shatta Wale comes up on United Showbiz, the way the pundits talk about him makes it obvious they hate him. They never speak with fairness or objectivity,” Abro alleged during the interview.

Abro, who is known for his controversial takes and vocal defense of Shatta Wale, went on to say that this perceived bias is the main reason he has taken it upon himself to defend Shatta Wale at all costs.

“I have decided to stand by Shatta Wale and defend him at all times, even if he tells me to stop. I believe he is judged unfairly most of the time, and someone needs to speak up for him,” he asserted.
