Ghanaian actor and entrepreneur, Abraham Davis, popularly known as Salinko, has called on controversial social commentators Kevin Taylor and Twene Jonas to put an end to what he describes as a worrying culture of insults directed at leaders and elders in the country.

Speaking in a video chat with some bloggers, Salinko expressed concern over the growing trend where many Ghanaian youth have taken to social media to rain insults on respected personalities.

According to him, the practice is not only disturbing but also a time bomb that could explode soon and destroy the moral fibre of society if it is not addressed.

He particularly blamed Kevin Taylor and Twene Jonas for popularizing this trend, accusing them of setting a bad example with their frequent verbal attacks, even against highly revered traditional rulers such as the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

Salinko stressed that such actions were needless and disrespectful, noting that personalities like Otumfuo command authority and respect that no ordinary individual could ever disregard in person.

Salinko added that they should stop this because if they even met Otumfuo physically, they can’t even get close to him.

The actor finally appealed to Kevin Taylor, Twene Jonas, and others engaging in similar conduct to desist, urging Ghanaian youth to rather channel their energies into productive ventures that will benefit themselves and the nation at large.
