A disturbing video from the funeral of the late Mamponghene, Daasebre Nana Osei Bonsu II, has gone viral online and sparked heated discussions online.
The funeral, which took place on Saturday, June 7, 2025, drew thousands to Mampong, including royals, traditional leaders, politicians, celebrities, and high-profile businessmen.

Among the well-known attendees was Ghanaian entrepreneur and politician, Nana Kwame Bediako, popularly known as Cheddar or Freedom Jacob Caesar and as is now his trademark, he arrived in grand style, flanked by a large entourage and a visible security presence.
Just moments after he stepped out of his luxury vehicle to enter the premises where the funeral rites were being observed, chaos erupted.
In a now-viral video circulating across social media platforms, one of his heavily built bodyguards is seen abruptly grabbing a man who appeared to be trying to follow Cheddar and his team as they made their way in.
Without hesitation, the bodyguard delivered two solid punches straight to the man’s chest, causing him to stumble backward in visible pain.

From the footage, the man seemed completely overwhelmed by the assault, particularly after the second blow.
Bystanders were stunned, but no one dared challenge the bodyguard, who resumed his position beside Cheddar like nothing had happened.
While the identity of the assaulted man remains unknown, many netizens are questioning the level of force used, especially at a traditional funeral meant to honor a revered figure like the Mamponghene, who passed away on April 20, 2025, and whose legacy was being mourned with deep cultural reverence.
