Renowned Ghanaian musician Okyeame Kwame has made a rare revelation about a painful decision from his past that continues to haunt him.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Kofi Kum Bilson on Peace FM’s Mid-Morning Show on Wednesday, March 26, 2024, the legendary rapper disclosed that his biggest regret in life was lying to a woman he once loved.
Recalling the incident, Okyeame Kwame shared that this happened during his early years when he traveled to America.
According to him, he was in a serious relationship with a lady he truly loved and had even assured her that he wanted to marry her.
His intentions, at the time, were sincere, and he genuinely believed they were destined to spend the rest of their lives together.
However, upon his return to Ghana, fate had other plans.
He mentioned that he unexpectedly met another woman who completely captured his heart and as a man who believes in monogamy, he felt it was only right to be honest with his partner in America.
Okyeame Kwame further disclosed that he told this lover in the USA that he had fallen in love with someone else and, as a result, could no longer continue their relationship.
He sadly added that the aftermath of his confession, was something he had not anticipated.
The OK Foundation boss mwntioned in the interview that out of broken heart, the lady declared that she would never marry another man again because of the pain he had caused her.
This, Okyeame Kwame admitted, has remained a heavy burden on his conscience. “Whenever I see her and realize she is still not married, it really hurts me,” Okyeame Kwame stated.

Despite the regret he carries, the award-winning musician was quick to clarify that he was not making this revelation because his marriage is lacking in any way.
On the contrary, he expressed immense gratitude for his wife, Annica, emphasizing that she is the best thing that has ever happened to him.
