VIDEO: “Is Florence Going Mad?” — Obinim Mocks Ex-wife Over Divorce Settlement Demands

Bishop Daniel Obinim has reacted with disbelief to the divorce settlement demands being made by his wife, Florence.

According to a video seen online, Florence has served the founder of the International God’s Way Church with divorce court papers outlining a number of financial and property-related demands as part of the reported divorce proceedings.

The reported demands include GH¢2 million settlement, ownership of his church in Tema, his large house opposite the church in Accra, some of his apartment buildings that generate rental income, and a monthly allowance of GH¢10,000, among other requests.

The development has provoked a strong reaction from Bishop Obinim, who addressed the matter during a church service while one of his pastors was reading documents relating to the court proceedings.

In reacting to the demands, the outspoken preacher questioned whether Florence was going mad, suggesting that her current demands were beyond what he expected from her.

Obinim in the video asked whether his wife was beginning to behave like the people she had recently been associating with. He further questioned whether she was taking hard drugs or receiving psychiatric medication.

The preacher argued that if Florence were thinking clearly, she would not have presented some of the demands attributed to her, including the request of ownership of his church.

Also, another demand that particularly appeared to amuse Obinim was the reported request for a monthly allowance of GH¢10,000. He laughed at the suggestion and questioned whether Florence still considered herself married to him and therefore entitled to receive regular monthly payment from him.
