Ghanaian-born musician NY Melody, known in private life as Nathaniel Yaw Melody, has announced a philanthropic initiative to support the education of ten brilliant but financially challenged children.

The artist made this revelation during a recent conversation with celebrated Ghanaian blogger Zionfelix on the popular Uncut Show.

NY Melody, who is currently based in Australia, shared that the project is very close to his heart.

He stated that it doesn’t matter how old the child is, as long as they are determined to learn, he and his team are prepared to support them through their entire academic journey, right up to university graduation.

“Once the child is ready to learn, my team and I are ready to see him or her through school,” he said.

However, the musician emphasized that the initiative is strictly for those who are genuinely in need.

“We’ll investigate to be sure the person is truly needy. If there’s even a slight chance that the family can provide, then they don’t need this support, others might need it more,” he clarified.

To maintain the integrity and fairness of the process, NY Melody noted that he will not be directly involved in selecting the beneficiaries.

NY Melody has been gaining traction in Ghana and internationally with his unique blend of Afrobeat, highlife, and pop. He is known for songs like “Kumbaya” featuring MzVee, “Far Away,” and his earlier “Be My Love” EP.
