Ghanaian social media influencer Adwoa Tee has sparked intense reactions online after revealing that she prefers dating scammers over men with conventional careers.
Her controversial remarks were made during Season 3 of the newly revamped Rants, Bants, and Confessions podcast, where she joined Efia Odo and other female guests for an open discussion on relationships.
While making her point on the show, Adwoa Tee recounted her personal experiences and reasons behind her dating preferences.
“Before I started this influencing thing, I was doing 9-to-5, okay? I was working at GSE. The guys I worked with would leave the office at 9:00 p.m., 10:00 p.m. By the time they got home, they were exhausted. That’s overtime,” she mentioned.
She explained that such busy schedules left little room for emotional connection, something she values deeply.

It was during this moment that sYawhe made the now-viral statement: “So me like this, I wouldn’t even mind dating a scammer—because he’s always home.”
She elaborated that, while scammers may be engaged in illicit activities online, their physical presence and availability make them more attentive partners for her.
Her comments were met with concern and criticism from fellow guests, particularly Efia Odo, who cautioned her about the moral and emotional risks.
Despite Efia Odo’s reprimand, Adwoa Tee remained unapologetic, arguing that scammers often give more attention and money too than many professionals.
