Ghanaian socialite and influencer Aba Dope has caused some stir after she has declared that marriage is not part of her life plans.

She made this revelation during an exclusive appearance on Nana Romeo’s drive-time show, Okwanso Dwoodwoo, on Okay FM, where the host asked whether attending a friend’s recent wedding had triggered any desire in her to settle down.

According to Aba Dope, marriage is the last thing on her mind, and her stance is rooted deeply in a painful chapter of her past.

She added that the moment of heartbreak has permanently shaped her views on love and commitment.

She explained that while in Senior High School, she started dating a young man named Carl, whom she described as her childhood sweetheart. Their relationship continued as she entered Nursing Training College, and by her second year, she believed they were well on their way to building a future together.

However, everything came crashing down when a Turkish lady called her, claiming she was in a serious relationship with Carl and that Carl’s entire family was already familiar with her. That unexpected call, according to Aba Dope, shattered her emotionally and destroyed her willingness to ever commit herself to marriage.

She emphasized that the betrayal changed her outlook on relationships completely, and she decided never to put herself in such a vulnerable position again.

When Nana Romeo pressed further, wanting to know why she chose to give birth without getting married, Aba Dope calmly explained that it was a personal decision.

She said she felt she was growing, and all she truly desired at this stage of her life was a child, not a husband.
