Ibrahim Oppong, the Chief Executive Officer of Crime Check Foundation, has come forward to explain why he felt it was necessary to clarify the situation regarding Nana Agradaa’s delayed transfer to Nsawam Prison.
In a recent interview on Okay FM’s Ekwanso Dwoodwoo drive-time show with Nana Romeo, Mr. Oppong stated that it was not out of malice but to set the record straight.

The popular evangelist and self-styled spiritualist, Nana Agradaa, born Patricia Asieduaa, had been sentenced to 15 years in prison after being convicted for defrauding her followers through a controversial money-doubling scheme. Despite her sentencing, her transfer to prison had not completed yet but some reports suggesting that she was hurt in prison started circulating.
Ibrahim Oppong explained that these reports that were completely false was putting the prison in bad light for which reason he made the revelation.
He stressed that Agradaa had not even reached the prison at that point due to procedural delays. He elaborated that the reason for the delay was administrative in nature. “The necessary legal and procedural documents, including the warrant for her transfer, had not been finalized,” Mr. Ibrahim Oppong clarified.
Additionally, he pointed out that Agradaa could not have been transferred on the Friday too following her sentencing because it was a public holiday, but she was finally moved to the prison on Saturday.
Oppong stressed that his intention was purely to clarify the misinformation and ensure the public had the correct facts.
