A Nigerian man expresses frustration over the transactional order of romantic relationships between men and women.

He, @_teetat on the clock app, quizzes why dating is now cheapened to a commodity, and why many are advised to go for a partner they can afford in their current social and financial status.

He cannot grasp the reason one would have to bargain for love according to the size of one’s pocket, and not just love genuinely and naturally.

Addressing no one in particular in a now viral video, he says, “Una don turn relationship to commodity, which one is “go for the one you can afford”? Am I buying market? Are we not meant to love each other? How did we get here, ehnnn?”

Read what online viewers have to say concerning this:

_whoishcn3y: Na why shoe get size no vex

queeneth_johnn: They’re still girls that don’t monetize relationship, that doesn’t mean we can’t help each other 👌

the_detoun: Sha pick the one within your standard marry. Nobody force anybody to date. If you think money will not determine in this world then you are joking. Not making relationships transactional but it is what it is.
