Daniel Adu Adjei was born to Ghanaian parents in the UK

English born Ghanaian forward, Daniel Adu Adjei has entered a new chapter in his football career after signing for Croatian Football Clubs HN Rijeka on a four year deal from AFC Bournemouth.

A permanent deal announced by both clubs involved on August 24, 2025 for the 20-year-old English born Ghanaian forward who earlier this summer expressed his desire to represent Ghana at the national level.

Stating that “I’d love to play for Ghana. Obviously both my parents were born there and grew up there, so I’d love to do it”.

He sees this move as an important opportunity to gaining regular first team experience that will aid him achieve his dreams.

Adu-Adjei signed for Bournemouth in 2023 but spent the last two seasons on loan with spells at Pool Town, Leyton Orient and Carlisle United. He scored 16 goals across those loan spells.
