    The Diaspora Halls of University of Ghana are set to light up the curtain raiser moments of the 2026 UG Corporate Football League (UGCFL) as they headline the official curtain raiser match of the season this Friday 13th February, 2026 at 3.30pm at the University of Ghana Stadium.

    In a special opening clash, Dr Hilla Limann Hall and Alexander Kwapong Hall will merge to form one team, facing a combined side made up of Elizabeth Frances Sey Hall and Jean Nelson Aka Hall in what promises to be an exciting Diaspora Affair filled with pride, passion and bragging rights.

    The highly anticipated encounter will kick off at 3:30pm on Friday February 13, 2026, at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, setting the tone for what is expected to be a thrilling 2026 UGCFL season.

    All four halls, collectively known as the Diaspora Halls, are famous for their vibrant student culture and competitive sporting history.

    By merging into two teams, the halls introduce a unique twist to the curtain raiser, one that raises the stakes and fuels anticipation, even before the corporate heavyweights step onto the pitch.

    The match is expected to attract a strong student turnout, offering fans a first taste of competitive football.

    With the Diaspora Halls playing the curtain raiser game, the UG Corporate Football League 2026 promises to begin with energy, passion, and unforgettable football moments both on and off the pitch.
