The U.S. Embassy, Accra has released more than 1,000 non-immigrant visa interview appointments, giving prospective travelers the chance to secure interview dates within the coming week.

According to the embassy, a large number of B1/B2 visa slots — intended for business and tourism travel — are now open. Applicants are being encouraged to act quickly to take advantage of the short-notice availability.

In a public notice shared on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, via its official Facebook page, the embassy urged individuals planning trips to the United States to book their interviews immediately.

“There are more than 1,000 B1/B2 visa appointment slots available in the next week – one of those could be yours,” the statement read.

The embassy also advised applicants who already have appointments later in the year to consider rescheduling for an earlier date if it better suits their travel plans.

“Book a new appointment – or move up one scheduled for later in the year – we want to interview you now!” the post added.

Interested individuals have been directed to the embassy’s official visa website for full details on eligibility requirements and application procedures.

The announcement comes as welcome news for many travelers who have faced extended wait times for visa interview appointments in recent months.
