Two teenagers have died and another is fighting for his life in hospital after a major crash in Surrey.

A 30-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death and serious injury by dangerous driving after the smash in Hurst Green on Saturday night, police said.

Officers were called to Holland Road just before 10pm on Saturday to reports that a white Tesla had smashed into a tree.

One man in his late teens died at the scene, while another passed away later in hospital.

A third also in his late teens remains in hospiutal with life-threatening injuries, while te driver of the Tesla was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Holland Road remained closed into today between the junctions with Popes Lane and Warren lane while the investigation continued.

Surrey Police were today appealing for witnesses.

A statement from the force read: ‘A 30-year-old man from Oxted has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

‘We are asking anyone who may have witnessed this collision to get in touch.

‘We are also seeking CCTV, dashcam, or helmet cam footage that may have captured all or part of this incident.’
