Twenty-two players are currently in the Black Stars camp in Puebla, Mexico, as preparations intensify ahead of Friday’s international friendly against Mexico.

The Ghana Football Association on Tuesday confirmed the list of players who have already reported to camp, with the squad beginning full training sessions under head coach Carlos Queiroz ahead of the crucial pre-World Cup assignment.

Among the notable names already in camp are Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare, Belgian-based midfielder Majeed Ashimeru, Brighton winger Ibrahim Osman, defender Terry Yegbe and towering centre-back Nathaniel Adjei.

Barcelona Atlètic duo Abdul Aziz Issah and David Oduro are also part of the players currently with the squad as they push to impress the technical team ahead of the final World Cup squad announcement.

The list of players already in camp also includes Jerry Afriyie, Felix Afena-Gyan, Razak Simpson, Salim Adams, Joseph Opoku, Prince Amoako, Jan Gyamerah and Emmanuel Agyei.

Others are Daniel Agyei, Ebenezer Abban, Oscar Oppong, Solomon Agbasi, Ebenezer Adade, Dacosta Antwi and Jesurun Rak-Sakyi.

The Black Stars arrived in North America earlier this week to continue preparations for the high-profile friendly against World Cup co-hosts Mexico on Friday, May 22, 2026.

Training is expected to continue throughout the week as Carlos Queiroz assesses the players before naming his final squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Ghana will open their World Cup campaign against Panama on June 17 before facing England on June 23 and Croatia on June 27.
