The small purple vibrator skitters across the cream carpet of the yacht’s salon.
‘Ashley get it, Ryan get it,’ Lynne Patton, a senior official in Donald Trump‘s White House, can be heard saying, slurring her words and telling the cameraman not to film her. ‘Not any of us!’
Patton is wearing a gold sequined cocktail dress. Hours earlier, according to a source who was aboard, she had been at Mar-a-Lago for a black tie gala benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Now she is barefoot on a Republican donor’s yacht in Florida, chasing a sex toy around the cabin while a Washington lobbyist Ryan Coyne films her, the Daily Mail can reveal.
In the footage obtained by the Daily Mail the toy is thrown at Patton and kicked across the room to shrieks of laughter. At one point Patton cups the vibrator, hurls it to the floor and shouts, ‘Start again! Start again!’
‘It’s on the loose,’ Coyne says from behind the camera. ‘Caroline’s vibrator is on the loose. Who wants it?’
‘Do not get our faces, you b****!’ Patton shouts back. ‘Wait, start again. You are not getting our faces.’
‘Oh no! This is way too good!’ Coyne replies. ‘Where is it? Oh there it is!’

The video was taken on the night of February 6, 2025, according to the source, the same evening as pediatric cancer charity Curetivity’s ‘Night of the Dragon’ gala at Mar-a-Lago.
Curetivity, the renamed Eric Trump Foundation, raised a reported $7 million for St. Jude that night, and Lara Trump posted photographs from inside the ballroom.
‘They needed a palate cleanser from kids with cancer, so they decided to go to the strip club,’ the source who was aboard the yacht told the Daily Mail, describing where the group went next after their boat fun.
The man behind the camera was not just any lobbyist.
Within months of that night, Coyne, 38, would be named in Justice Department filings as an agent serving a foreign government.
And the woman dodging the sex toy was not just any guest.
Patton, 52, is Deputy Assistant to the President for Coalition Policy and Engagement, a longtime Trump family aide who has been living in Coyne’s luxury penthouse in Rosslyn, Virginia, throughout her time in the administration, according to multiple sources and text messages reviewed by the Daily Mail.
The arrangement has alarmed officials inside the White House. Multiple sources have stressed to the Daily Mail that the relationship is not romantic or sexual.
A White House insider told the Daily Mail that concern over the relationship is widespread at senior levels, but that officials, including Susie Wiles, have been hesitant to bring Patton into line because of her closeness to Trump’s son Eric and his Lara.
Patton’s longstanding durability in Trump’s world started with her role with Eric Trump. She spent a decade as an event planner and senior aide for his foundation, helping run the family’s charity golf tournaments and galas.
THE FOREIGN AGENT
Coyne’s foreign entanglements are not a matter of rumor.
They are set out in his own sworn filings with the Department of Justice.
In May 2025, a Miami-based firm called Tactic COC LLC registered under the Foreign Agents Registration Act to lobby for the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and a private Vietnamese company.
The registration states the work was aimed at persuading the US government to ‘avoid or reduce’ a 46 percent tariff proposed on goods imported from Vietnam.
Coyne is listed in the filing as a consultant who ‘will provide advice and counsel with regard to trade relations between the governments of Vietnam and the United States’ and will ‘arrange meetings as requested by the principal.’
His residence address in the sworn document is the Virginia penthouse.
Caroline Wren, a veteran GOP fundraiser and a fixture of the same social circle who was also on the yacht, is listed alongside him as a consultant to both Vietnamese principals.
Then, in June 2026, Coyne filed his own short-form registration statement, signed under penalty of perjury.

In the document, he identifies himself as a partner in CRB Global LLC and lists his foreign principal as ‘The Republic of Somaliland,’ the breakaway territory in the Horn of Africa seeking US diplomatic recognition.
He checked ‘yes’ when asked whether his services include political activity, meaning efforts to influence the US government.
The filing lists his residence, his business address and the registered address of CRB Global LLC as one and the same place.
It is the penthouse where Lynne Patton lives.
In other words, a White House official is not merely living in the home of a registered foreign agent, she is living at the registered working office of a foreign lobbying operation representing a government in Africa, according to the disclosure.
‘THE EXCHANGE’
Patton’s official salary, listed in the White House’s annual report to Congress, is $155,000.
The penthouse was purchased by Coyne in September 2020 for $3.2 million, according to public records, and its estimated rent is more than $14,000 a month, according to Zillow.
Multiple sources say she lives there with Coyne rent free. However, there is no official public record indicating that Patton lives at the penthouse.
‘He pays for her lifestyle while allowing her to live at his place,’ is how one source familiar with the arrangement characterized it.
‘He’s been to the White House for many events,’ the source said of Coyne. ‘He accompanies Lynne to most events, especially at Mar-a-Lago, DC. He is always Lynne’s plus one.’
A White House official told the Daily Mail that Patton maintains ‘all required ethical standards and is fiscally responsible for all her own residences.’

A photo posted to Facebook in December 2025 shows the pair posing arm in arm beneath the presidential seal at a White House Christmas party, by which point Coyne was already registered with the Justice Department as a foreign agent for Vietnam.
At Mar-a-Lago, the source said, Patton’s White House credentials meant she ‘was able to just kind of waltz through.’
Text messages reviewed by the Daily Mail show how that access was put to work.
On February 5, 2025, Patton messaged a friend about dinner at the club: ‘Come to MAL. Adding your names to list. Under [a Mar-a-Lago member].’
The next afternoon, hours before the yacht video was filmed, a text was sent to the same Mar-a-Lago member on behalf of Coyne and Wren.
‘Ryan and Caroline Wren are trying to hold a meeting with some South American diplomat at the Beach Club and would like to know if you can add them as guests,’ the message reads.
‘They of course would like to cut you in on the deal if it closes. Xo.’
The member agreed. ‘Sure thing,’ he replied.
What the deal entailed, and whether it closed, is not known.
‘OUR PLACE’
The texts also make clear that the penthouse is, in practice, Patton’s home.
On the morning of Inauguration Day, in a group chat named ‘Inauguration Frat House,’ Patton wrote: ‘I’m down for the count. My voice is utterly obliterated. Staying here and laying low until official balls.’
‘Good b/c people have already been texting me this morning saying “Ryan invited me over, is it still on?”‘ she added moments later.
Four days later, when a friend in the chat asked whether to ship a batch of ‘Make Coal Great Again’ hats to ‘Ryan’s starter home apartment,’ Patton replied: ‘And perfect! Yes! Please send there!!’
On Valentine’s Day 2025 she texted a friend: ‘I was going to knock, but none of us went to bed until 3AM and I know Ryan got up to leave on time b/c I called him to be sure, but I never actually heard him leave.’

‘They were talking about it around the election, and it was really solidified around inauguration,’ the source close to the pair said of the living arrangement.
‘They talk about it all the time. She always invites people there.’
Coyne had lived in the building for a couple of years before Patton moved up from Palm Beach after Trump’s victory, according to the White House insider.
And the arrangement continues.

Patton posted on her Instagram story a photo of a scraped door to her car with the caption: ‘When You’re So Excited To Be Back At The White House That You Side-Swipe The Secret Service Gate,’ followed by laughing and crying emojis.
The damage to her grey Audi S5 Cabriolet, which retails for around $75,000, was clearly visible along the driver’s side.
THE INAUGURATION FRAT HOUSE
The penthouse itself became one of the busiest party addresses of inauguration week.
A formal invitation obtained by the Daily Mail, decorated with an American flag, summoned guests to ‘Breakfast & IV Therapy at Ryan’s’ every morning from January 18 to 21.
‘Attire: Sweatpants and bed hair,’ the invitation reads. ‘Bebidas: Yes you animals, we will have mimosas.’
Photographs from inside show intravenous drips hanging from poles in the living room as guests recovered from the night before.
One image shows Chris Stanley, an engineer associated with Elon Musk’s X, SpaceX and DOGE operation, relaxing in an armchair with an IV line in his arm.
Another shows Patton herself gripping an IV pole, a bag of yellow fluid above her head, while Lara Trump’s makeup artist works on her face before an inaugural ball.
Coyne footed most of the bill for the IV service, according to the source close to the group, though ‘certain people paid the IV service as they went.’
The scene was independently described in New York Magazine’s January 27, 2025 cover story on inauguration weekend, in which the reporter visited an Arlington penthouse hours after Trump was sworn in and found young women drinking mimosas while hooked up to IV drips.

‘Coyne’s place is a revolving door,’ the source close to the group said of the week.
‘There were random congressmen and people who would come by, and random consultants, a lot of consultants.’
After the weekend ended, one guest summed up the mood in the group chat.
‘What an outstanding weekend! Thank you, Ryan… I could not have wished for a better group of misfits to ring in the New American Golden Age!’
‘I concur 1000%!’ Patton replied. ‘Three cheers for Ryan!! And HOST with the MOST!’
‘GREY GOOSE ON THE ROCKS’
Inside the administration, Patton’s drinking is discussed almost as openly as her living arrangement, two White House insiders told the Daily Mail.
Multiple sources said they have seen Patton visibly intoxicated at Ned’s Club, the private members’ club near the White House, throughout her time in the administration.
‘I don’t think there’s anyone that you would speak to who would dispute that,’ one insider said.
The source close to Patton was more specific.
‘Grey goose pear. She drinks it on the rocks,’ a source intimately aware of Patton’s drinking habits said.
Patton has spoken openly about her past battle with addiction, telling New York’s PIX11 in an August 2025 interview at the White House that Eric Trump saved her life by helping her beat a cocaine habit.
A SECOND CHANCE, AND A SECOND ACT
Patton owes her extraordinary durability in Trump’s world to the family itself.
A former event planner and senior aide to Eric Trump and his foundation, she followed the family into government in 2017 as the Housing and Urban Development administrator for New York and New Jersey.
However, in April 2021, the US Office of Special Counsel announced that Patton had admitted violating the Hatch Act by using her HUD position to produce a video for the 2020 Republican National Convention.
She admitted to leveraging relationships with New York public housing residents she met on the job.
She agreed to pay a $1,000 civil fine and accept a 48-month debarment from federal employment, one of the longest such bans in recent memory.
It was her second brush with the ethics law, after a 2019 warning letter for liking partisan tweets from her official government account.
That debarment cast a shadow over the start of her second act.
A White House insider said her absence early in this administration came ‘because she had to serve out the consequences from that previous infraction.’
She now serves as Deputy Assistant to the President for Coalition Policy and Engagement in the Office of Public Liaison.
Ethics rules require senior White House officials to report gifts, including free housing, on annual financial disclosures, and to report cohabitants in security vetting.
Whether Patton has disclosed her living arrangement, or anything of value received from Coyne, is a question the White House has not answered.
The Daily Mail has contacted Patton, Coyne, Wren and the White House for comment.

A spokesperson for Coyne said, ‘It is well known that Mr. Coyne interfaces with many foreign leaders while proudly advancing President Trump’s global agenda and fully complies with all federal disclosure laws.’
Back on the yacht, in the final seconds of the video, the purple vibrator comes to rest on the carpet. The camera lingers on it.
‘Start again,’ Patton says. ‘Start again.’
