President Trump has gone nuclear in a furious attack on CBS over recent reports about his policies on Ukraine and the proposed annexation of Greenland.
In a Sunday night spray on Truth Social, Trump demanded the network ‘lose their license’ for what he describes as repeated instances of bias against him and his administration.
‘They are not a ”News Show,” but a dishonest Political Operative simply disguised as ”News,” and must be responsible for what they have done, and are doing,’ he wrote.
‘CBS is out of control, at levels never seen before, and they should pay a big price for this. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!’
On Sunday night, 60 Minutes aired an interview reporter Scott Pelley conducted with Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky on the site of a Russian attack where nine children were killed earlier this month.
Zelensky said he has ‘100 percent’ hatred for Russian President Vladimir Putin for the invasion of Ukraine, and invited Trump to his visit his country to see the damage of the war.
Also Sunday, correspondent Jon Wertheim reported from Greenland on what locals think about Trump’s proposal to annex the island.
Trump hit back, saying the war in Ukraine ‘would never have happened if the 2020 Election had not been RIGGED, in other words, if I were President.’

And responding to the story on Greenland, he simply said it ‘cast our Country, as led by me, falsely, inaccurately and fraudulently.’
It emerged last week that Trump is considering offering every resident of Greenland an annual cash payout as part of his campaign to win over the island.
His administration moved forward on a formal plan to acquire the Arctic island from Denmark, the New York Times reported, outlining the public relations campaign and other incentives the White House is considering.
One of those options is replacing the $600 million in subsidies that Denmark gives the island with an annual payment of about $10,000 per Greenlander. Denmark insists the island is not for sale and cannot be annexed.
In the 60 Minutes interview from Sunday, locals maintained they are not for sale and do not want to become part of the United States.
Trump also touched upon his $20 billion lawsuit against 60 Minutes for how it edited an interview with Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris last fall.
The president claims it was edited in a way to make Harris look good, something the newscast denies.
The edited version made Harris appear more coherent and succinct, chopping waffling answers on Ukraine’s right to join NATO, the Israel-Palestine conflict and her refusal to comment on ‘hypothetical’ questions about China.

While all of Greenland’s political parties are in favor of independence, none of them support the idea of joining the United States

There are ongoing reports that Trump’s lawyers and CBS’ parent company are involved in settlement talks.
‘I am so honored to be suing 60 Minutes, CBS Fake News, and Paramount, over their fraudulent, beyond recognition, reporting,’ he wrote.
‘They did everything possible to illegally elect Kamala, including completely and corruptly changing major answers to Interview questions, but it just didn’t work for them.’
He called on Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr to impose maximum fines and punishment “for their unlawful and illegal behavior.”
