Army Ladies, Hasaacas Ladies Book Women’s FA Cup Final Spots
    • Army Ladies celebrating their victory over Samartex

The Cape Coast Sports Stadium hosted exciting action on Saturday, as the 2025/26 Women’s FA Cup semi-finals were played. Both matches involved teams from the Southern Zone.

In the first semi-final, Premier League debutants Samartex Ladies came up against 2023/24 holders, Army Ladies. Army Ladies opened the scoring in the 39th minute through Alamisi Atakaga. Samartex fought back after the break, with Ibinabo Alex equalising in the 60th minute. Zinatu Alhassan scored minutes later to restore the lead for Army, before Linda Achiaa and Asamoah added two more goals in the closing stages. Afa Boaduwa scored in stoppage time to complete a convincing 5–1 win, securing a final spot for the second time since joining the Women’s Premier League.

The second semi-final saw former champions Hasaacas Ladies face Jonina Ladies, in an entertaining game that saw Millot Abena Pokuaa scoring in the sixth and 38th minutes for Hasaacas Ladies. Hasaacas defended well throughout the second half, limiting Jonina’s chances. In added time, Mary Ndali scored a third goal to seal a 3–0 victory and book a place in the final.

The Women’s FA Cup final will now be an all–Southern Zone clash between Hasaacas Ladies and Army Ladies. Hasaacas currently lead the league with 36 points, while Army Ladies are second with 33 points, with two matches left to end the season. -Shesports360
