Ghanaian rapper Trigmatic has opened up about the emotional toll and lessons learned from his divorce by expressing deep regrets about parting ways with his ex-wife, Dita Oduro-Agyei.
The couple, who tied the knot in a private ceremony in 2017, separated three years ago but only made the news public earlier this year.
Reflecting on their relationship during an interview on TV3’s Day Show recently, Trigmatic revealed how the breakup had deeply affected him and shared how his faith played a pivotal role in helping him navigate the challenging period.
“It’s been a learning curve for me. I have learned so much, and I don’t think it’s something anyone should go through. It was tough on me, but thankfully, I had God. We sometimes take our relationship with God for granted until we face challenges,” he said.
The rapper confessed that the experience made him value family even more and helped him realize some of his shortcomings during their marriage.
Trigmatic also expressed gratitude for the bond they share through their child, describing the union as one of the best gifts he could give to his kids. “I haven’t thought about reconciling with her, I must say. What I am happy about is that marrying her is one of the greatest gifts I have given my kids. Marriage is beautiful, as it comes with many things,” he added.
