Both Jason and Travis Kelce like what they’re seeing from Kansas City Chiefs rookie Peter Woods, but the younger brother did notice one clear bad habit from his new teammate.

‘You got to watch that left arm, though, that left arm gets a little hot,’ Travis said while watching rookie minicamp footage during the latest episode of the Kelces’ weekly podcast, New Heights.

Woods, a defensive tackle out of Clemson, is seen abusing some tackling dummies in the clips, and while an untrained eye might not notice anything in particular, the NFL veteran Kelce brothers had plenty to discuss.

‘Right here, the left arm gets [up], that’s head and neck area, Peter,’ Travis said, rhetorically. ‘We’ve got to stay away from the head and neck area. We’ve got to swat that ball.’

Jason argued that Woods was ‘trying to go for the ball’ as he’s supposed to, but Travis wasn’t ready to give his approval.

‘We’ve got to work that technique better,’ Travis said.

Jason noted that Woods is ‘telegraphing it a little bit’ but his review was mostly positive.

‘I’m an all-around fan of that kind of movement,’ Jason said.

    Travis agreed.

‘He looked good to be that big, man,’ he said of the 6ft 2in, 298-pound lineman.

An All-ACC First Team selection, Woods was taken with the 29th pick in last month’s NFL Draft after the Chiefs went with LSU cornerback Mansoor Delane with the sixth pick of the first round.

Kansas City also added Oklahoma edge rusher R Mason Thomas in the second, indicating a significant defensive overhaul is underway at Arrowhead.

As for free agents, the Chiefs signed former New England Patriots nose tackle Khyiris Tonga, who plugs in alongside defensive captain, Chris Jones.

Travis, meanwhile, is returning to Kansas City this season on a three-year deal that could be worth as much as $57 million with incentives, according to NFL Network.
