Turkish Süper Lig side Trabzonspor have officially joined the race to sign Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku following Leicester City’s relegation to League One.
The 20-year-old has emerged as one of the few positives in an otherwise disappointing campaign for the Foxes, registering nine goals and seven assists in the Championship this season. His explosive pace, dribbling ability, and attacking directness have made him a standout performer, drawing interest from several clubs across Europe.
Despite being under contract with Leicester City until 2029, the club’s drop to the third tier has raised uncertainty over Issahaku’s long-term future. Trabzonspor are understood to have made initial contact as they explore the possibility of securing his signature ahead of the new season.
The Ghana international is also expected to play a key role for the Black Stars at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America, where strong performances could further boost his market value. For now, Trabzonspor are positioning themselves as serious contenders.
