English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur has struck a cultural chord with Ghanaians by featuring King Paluta’s chart-topping hit Aseda in a slideshow marking the unveiling of Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus.

The touching tribute, shared on Spurs’ official TikTok account on July 10, 2025, showcases behind-the-scenes images from Kudus’ official signing and presentation as a Tottenham player.

The emotional and culturally rich background song , Aseda, added a personal Ghanaian touch to the reveal, resonating deeply with fans both in Ghana and abroad.

The move has earned the North London club widespread admiration across social media, with many hailing it as a thoughtful gesture that not only celebrated the signing of a Ghanaian star but also spotlighted Ghanaian music on the global stage.

King Paluta, the 2025 winner of the 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) Highlife Song of the Year, took to social media to express his delight. “It’s a big moment for me,” he shared.

“To see Aseda used on such a global platform is humbling. Big congratulations to Mohammed Kudus on his six-year move to Spurs. The whole nation is proud.”

Kudus, who transferred from West Ham United to Tottenham in a high-profile deal, continues to command attention not only for his footballing prowess but also for being a symbol of Ghanaian pride on the international stage.
