Veteran Ghanaian rapper Tinny has opened up about his lifelong passion for entertainment, revealing that his love for the stage began long before fame found him.

Speaking in an interview with Doreen Avio and Kwame Dadzie on Hitz FM, as monitored by MyNewsGh, Tinny recounted how his artistic journey started in his early school days, where he eagerly participated in various creative activities.

“I was an entertainer when I was coming up as a little boy,” he shared. “In my school time days, if I didn’t play drums, I’d be part of those doing play-acting. And if not, then I’d be performing music.”

According to Tinny, entertainment was not just an interest but a calling that shaped his destiny.

“I realized that the path I’d chosen was the right way. So, I say big ups to God for giving me this great talent, putting me on the map,” he said gratefully.

Widely celebrated for pioneering Ga rap in Ghana’s mainstream music scene, Tinny’s influence has inspired a new generation of musicians who continue to blend local dialects with contemporary sounds.

His reflections on Hitz FM offered a glimpse into the heart of an artist who discovered his purpose early and never strayed from it.

“I was meant to do this,” Tinny affirmed. “It’s not just music; it’s who I am.”
