Times End “C” Computers Ltd. (TECC) has been honored with the Excellence in Innovation and Technology Award at the 7th Ghana Shippers Awards, 2025. This recognition celebrates the company’s outstanding contributions to Ghana’s maritime sector, particularly through its innovative IT solutions for the shipping, clearing, and forwarding industry.
As part of its long-standing impact, TECC played a significant role in VGM sensitization in 2016, when the global SOLAS Verified Gross Mass (VGM) regulation was introduced. Working collaboratively with the Ghana Ports and Harbors Authority (GPHA), Ghana Shippers Authority, Ship Owners and Agents Association of Ghana (SOAAG), and Maersk Line, TECC helped educate the maritime community on VGM compliance requirements. During sessions with GPHA and the Ghana Shippers Authority, the Senior Vice President of the World Shipping Council, Lars Kjaer, joined TECC via Skype to support presentations and respond to questions from industry participants. This early engagement strengthened national readiness for VGM implementation and enhanced operational safety across the sector.

TECC has also been instrumental in stakeholder engagement, contributing to the establishment of the Metrology and Measurement National Technical Committee (TC17) Subcommittee on Maritime under the Ghana Standards Authority (GSA), where the company served as an active member. This collaboration helped advance national alignment on maritime measurement and standardization.

In line with its commitment to continuous innovation, TECC is preparing to launch Cheemoh, its latest customized software package. Cheemoh is designed to link weighing systems—including weighbridges and other weighing platforms—to an organization’s ERP, enabling seamless systems integration across operations. The solution enhances data accuracy, workflow efficiency, and realtime decisionmaking. Cheemoh also includes a VGM module as an optional addon for clients who require automated Verified Gross Mass processing.
The company’s award reflects its ability to build secure data management competencies and deliver longlasting digital solutions for clients across the maritime value chain. Its commitment to innovation continues to position TECC as a trusted technology partner within the industry.
The Ghana Shippers Awards—organized by Globe Productions Limited—brought together leaders and stakeholders to celebrate excellence in the maritime and aviation sectors. The 2025 edition was themed “Blue Ideas, Bold Moves: Innovating Ghana’s Maritime Value Chain for the Future.”
Expressing appreciation for the recognition, CEO Emmanuel Odartey noted, “This is a massive win for us all at Times End ‘C’ Computers. It will encourage us toward even greater achievements. We dedicate this to our cherished customers in the shipping sector.”
TECC’s win underscores its ongoing commitment to maritime technology innovation and its contribution to the growth and sustainability of Ghana’s economy.
