Ghanaian media personality Tima Kumkum has shockingly revealed that she has been seperated from second husband Dominic Duodu for more than a year.
Tima made the revelation during an interview with Nikka Simonas on Joy Prime, where she opened up about the emotional journey she has gone through since the separation.
According to the media personality, it was initially difficult for her to accept that her second marriage had come to an end after her ex left home on April 1, 2025.
She emphasised that it was particularly difficult because she had to deal with questions from her children about their father’s absence.
Tima recalled an emotional moment when her daughter asked her when Daddy was coming back. She said that at the time, she tried to reassure her daughter by telling her that her father would return soon.
However, as the separation continued, Tima said she eventually reached a point where she could no longer continue giving her daughter the same answer.
She explained that after about six months of separation, it became difficult for her to keep lying to her daughter that her father would soon return.
Tima’s revelation means that she and Dominic had already been living separately for several months before rumours about problems in their marriage began attracting significant public attention.
The development is particularly notable because Tima’s marriage to Dominic was seen as a new beginning for the media personality after the collapse of her first marriage.
Tima was previously married to a man identified as Kwadwo, whom she married at the age of 24. She has previously revealed that her decision to enter that marriage was partly influenced by her desire to get back at an ex-boyfriend who had cheated on her with her friend.
The first marriage produced two children but eventually ended in divorce, with Tima saying she was the one who filed for the divorce around 2014.
Years later, she found love again with Dominic Duodu, a former schoolmate. They eventually got married in July 2023, holding their traditional marriage ceremony in Akyem Oda on July 13 before their white wedding in Accra on July 15.
The couple later welcomed a baby boy, Jesse, in November 2024, making the latest revelation about their separation even more unexpected to many of their followers.
