    Black Stars midfielder, Thomas Partey’s court appearance on rape charges, scheduled for today, adjourned to September 15, 2025.

    Thomas Partey was initially scheduled to appear before the Harrow Crown Court in London, UK on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.

    However, reports sighted by GhanaWeb Sports reveal that the hearing has been re-scheduled for Monday, September 15, 2025.

    The 32-year-old former Arsenal midfielder is currently fighting to clear his name in Court after being charged with five counts of rape and one of sexual assault by the Crown.

    The alleged offences are said to have taken place in 2021 and 2022 when he was an Arsenal player.

    Partey joined Arsenal from Atlético Madrid in 2020 in a transfer worth about £45m.

    Black Stars to depart Accra for N’jamena on Tuesday

    The defensive midfielder had signed for the Spanish club in 2012 and made 188 appearances, as well as going out on loan to Mallorca and Leganés.

    He is expected to join the Black Stars camp for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Mali.

    The Black Stars will take on Chad on Matchday 7 and host Mali in a Matchday 8 fixture.

    Coach Otto Addo’s side will face Chad at Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno on Thursday, September 4, before hosting Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, September 8, 2025.
