Popular American streamer and YouTuber, IShowSpeed, has opened up about how his recent visit to Africa has had a profound impact on his life and career.

Speaking in a video posted online on January 28, 2026, the popular streamer described the tour as a life-changing experience, noting that it helped him reconnect with his roots while also inspiring him to push himself further professionally.

According to him, travelling across the continent gave him a new perspective and strengthened his personal and emotional connection to Africa, which he referred to as his “motherland.”

“I decided to come to Africa and experience it for myself. To be honest, this tour changed my life. It changed my life for the better and it has opened my eyes,” he said.

The streamer explained that although he has already achieved significant success, the experience motivated him to aim higher and do more.

“This taught me that I can actually do this even though I’ve been doing this already, but I could do more,” he stated.

IShowSpeed added, “This is more personal and to come back to my motherland to stream all and stream 20 countries in 28 days is overwhelming.”
