Ghana’s political landscape has been rocked by a shocking revelation. Renowned journalist Captain Smart claimed that three government officials from President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s cabinet were trying to leave the nation. This startling assertion was made on December 9, 2024, on Onua TV’s Ghana Decides show.

Captain Smart claims that under President-elect John Mahama’s Operation Recover All Loot, these officials are attempting to flee the nation in order to evade prosecution for their involvement in the misappropriation of public funds. Recovering misappropriated state monies and prosecuting individuals involved are the goals of the operation. In a startling turn of events, Captain Smart disclosed that one of the three officials trying to escape is a New Patriotic Party (NPP) MP who was defeated in the most recent elections.

Demands for accountability and considerable outrage have been triggered by this discovery. By pressing airport authorities to prevent these people from departing the nation, Captain Smart has shown courage. This action is thought to be a big step in making sure people who mismanaged public monies are held accountable.
