    The Rawlings family has finally released the full details for the state funeral of the late former First Lady, Her Excellency Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings.

    The family head, Oheneba Akwesi Abayie, in a press conference on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, confirmed that the final funeral rites, which is being organised by the state will take place on Friday, November 28, 2025, at the Independence Square in Accra.

    According to the him, the funeral will begin at 6:00 am with the arrival of the cortege. He also added that the colour choosen for the funeral is all-black and stressed that there is no official funeral cloth for the solemn ceremony.

    The family head also emphasized that once the burial service ends at the Independence Square, there will be no additional ceremonies elsewhere.

    Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings died on October 23, 2025, at the Ridge Hospital at the age 76.

    Reports indicated that she suffered an acute asthma attack, a condition she had battled for many years.
