Lynx Entertainment CEO, Richie Mensah, has debunked the notion circulating in the creative arts industry that artistes who leave his record label face challenging careers.

In an interview on Hitz FM, Richie Mensah noted that his record label is not cursed and that artistes who leave Lynx Entertainment do not stay consistent because of a lack of investment and output.

“The music business is hard. Lynx Group has over 60 employees, and it is even more difficult. People see the result and think it is easy for us, but it takes a lot of brainstorming, work, and investment to keep us where we are. When an artiste leaves that set up and they are on their own, it is difficult. They are not cursed; it is difficult,” he said.

Richie Mensah added that there are artistes who have left Lynx Entertainment and have become successful in the creative arts industry.

“Artistes have left Lynx and they did well. But what happens is, it’s hard to maintain that level because if you initially had 60 people working on your project… when you leave and you don’t have the power to employ as many people, that is when the input and output drop drastically. Sometimes, we should also stop judging certain things by success,” he added.

Lynx Entertainment has had numerous artistes, such as Kuami Eugene, DopeNation, and MzVee, among others, who were previously signed to the record label, leaving.

The record label currently has Kidi, DJ Vyrusky, and DSL on a 360 deal.
