Controversial preacher and leader of the Alabaster International Ministry, Prophet Kofi Oduro, has launched a scathing attack on some prophets he described as foolish in Ghana.

According to him, there are many such foolish prophets speaking out of their flesh for monetary gains.

A few days before the December 7 general elections, numerous prophets boldly prophesied victory for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) and its flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. However, they lost the election woefully.

One of these prophets is the founder and leader of the Power Chapel Worldwide, Prophet Victor Kusi Boateng, who reaffirmed his prophecy about Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia winning the 2024 elections.

He stated that since his prophecy about the elections, many counter-predictions have been circulating, but he believes that, at the end of the election, the real prophets will be revealed.

Speaking to his congregation in a viral video, he said, “Watch this. I stand to let you know what the Lord told me during the Science and Token Conference, which was reaffirmed when we were having the all-night service. The Lord told me this is the final verdict. Nothing has changed, and by the month of December, we shall know the men from the boys, the prophets from the people.”

During a church service in July 2024, Rev. Kusi Boateng prophesied to his congregants that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia would be declared the winner on December 9 after the polls.

“And the result is obvious. Things are difficult; I know that there are two people coming, but the Lord has told me that by December 9, His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia shall be crowned the president of Ghana,” he prophesied amid cheers from the congregation.”

However, addressing his congregation on Sunday, December 15, 2024, and quoting Ezekiel 13:3, Prophet Kofi Oduro declared that such foolish prophets must not have a place of honor in Ghana.

“There are lots of foolish prophets in Ghana. They told this government they would win. They even said they would prove to the nation the difference between boys and men. Foolish thoughts, foolish revelations, foolish prophecies. Now, the Bible says that if the Lord has not spoken to someone, and the person speaks out of their own thoughts and the prophecy does not come to pass, then that prophet must not be feared. That word ‘feared’ means he should not be regarded or respected. That prophet spoke out of the flesh because of what he stands to gain.”

He added: “Such foolish prophecies—you see where these prophets have landed the NPP? They cannot condemn the wrongdoings of our leaders or their looting of the state. These prophets prophesy good things for our leaders because they are given dollars. By March, they will have finished spending the cash.”
