Tśimoloho Pearl Lekaota, known as Tśimo, is an emerging Afrohouse and Afrobeat artist, whose soulful storytelling and music are making waves on the international stage. Born in Lesotho and raised in South Africa’s Free State Province, Tśimo’s journey to stardom began in her early years. She discovered a love for the stage and music through school plays, performing in beloved productions like Cinderella, Aladdin, Oliver Twist, and Hairspray. Her flair for music and drama took root here, eventually leading her to a BA in Communications and Sociology, and fueling her decision to pursue her artistic dreams professionally.

Tśimo’s music career officially launched in 2021, where her early singles caught the attention of notable producer DJ Jnr SA. They collaborated on the track Umoya, featuring talents like Tshepe Pioneer and Kommanda Obbs, which opened doors to a world of creative partnerships. She quickly gained international traction, working with New York producers DJ Tomer and Gidon Ricardo on an Afrohouse single that climbed the house music charts and secured her place in the genre.

Her next major milestone was the release of Tonight under Italy’s Sunclock Records. The track gained recognition from none other than Black Coffee, who featured it on several Afrohouse playlists, amplifying her exposure across major platforms. With collaborations spanning Europe, North America, and Africa, Tśimo’s name began circulating among house music enthusiasts worldwide. She ventured into Afrobeat as well, partnering with producers like Senyo Cue and Nigerian vocalist 2skiii, demonstrating her versatility in blending diverse African genres.

In 2023, Tśimo signed with Cloud9ne, in partnership with Sony, a significant step in her burgeoning career. Her track Ungowami, produced with Parisian hitmaker Slick Widit, solidified her reach within the Afrohouse and dance music scene. Her latest release, Tsela Ts’oeu, has once again shown her talent for creating music that connects deeply with listeners.

Beyond her musical career, Tśimo is also a skilled actress and theater practitioner. She’s played roles such as Little Inez in Hairspray and contributed original compositions to productions like Poetry Cries, directed by Karabelo Plaatjie. Now a drama and theater professional, Tśimo is using her platform to advocate for social change, aiming to inspire joy, healing, and reflection through her work.

As she continues to evolve as a singer-songwriter and performer, Tśimo’s mission remains clear: to share her voice as a source of light and love.
